1. Please tell us about your book—title, genre, and storyline. Is your book a short story, novel, and/or a part of a series? Hello Jessica! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lovely blog. I have a steampunk paranormal series entitled, ‘The Adventures of Ichabod Temperance’.The first is titled ‘A Matter of Temperance’. The rest have titles in that vein. The first book is predominantly adventure, with elements of humor, but the books have gotten progressively more laden with humor as they go. There is an ongoing storyline of an innocent love affair between Ichabod and Persephone, but each is a stand alone, themed adventure. The first, is Lovecraftian in nature, followed by a story of megalomaniacal madmen. Book three is a humorous homage to ‘The War of the Worlds’. The fourth book involves a Victorian era London detective of some notoriety, and my ‘work in progress’ is a non-serious incursion upon the vampire genre.
2. How long did it take you to write this book? It usually takes me a month or so to write a book from beginning to end. Then I have to go back and work on it for another six weeks. I then have to get away from it for about six months, and return to find all the errors I missed the first time.
3. Where do you find your inspirations? In my friends! I populate my novels with people I know. I find it so much easier to bring that character to life if it is a real person to begin with.
4. Are you self-published? Yes, Ma’am.
